Profile

Parent Organization: Binghamton University

The Broome County council of Churches (BC3) provides services to the sick, disabled, injured, the elderly and youth in our community, the prisoner, the hungry, and the homeless and poor of Broome County. The Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW) is one of BC3’s many programs. CHOW, through its network of 30 food pantries located in Broome County Congregations and over 30 soup kitchens and community meal programs, distributes over 130,000 pounds of food each month to those in need. Each year Binghamton University students provide critical assistance to CHOW by participating as volunteers in various capacities and assisting with the annual CHOW Hunger Walk held on the Binghamton University Campus.
